Joel Grushkin is Principal of Cost Segregation Initiatives (CSI) and Sr. Managing Director of Cost Segregation Authority (CSA). He has been involved in the cost segregation business for some 20 years and was an earliest adopter of engineering‑based cost segregation studies. Joel worked closely with KPMG to create the Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) cost segregation program when JLL was known as LaSalle Partners; earlier he led the LaSalle Insurance Brokerage and Consulting practice in their San Diego office. In 2001 Joel joined Cost Segregation Authority as managing director and in 2010 merged his cost segregation practice into CSA’s parent company MS Consultants, an engineering firm founded in 1963. He is licensed in California as a property/casualty and life/health insurance broker and has held the CLU designation for more than 20 years.
